Total game pieces: 56

Financially

I went to McDonald’s for lunch 4 times and dragged my girlfriend along twice. I also grabbed breakfast 4 times. Lunch was always a value meal mostly being the new Angus meals because you get the most game pieces (6). For breakfast I would just get 2 hash browns which would give me 4 game pieces. I was also lucky enough to 6 game pieces given to me. I would estimate that lunches ran about $7.37 and breakfasts were about $2.1o. In total I spent around $53.

I thought I went more than this. It seemed like it. I just get sick of McDonald’s food. Once in a while I want it but as soon as I have some I have no desire to have more anytime soon.

Winnings

None. Big fat zero. I didn’t get any of the good pieces but even worse, I didn’t win any free food. I was amazed that I didn’t. I’m guessing they didn’t do this part of the game this year. It baffles me that they didn’t give out the free food. I would think that from a business standpoint a free small fry or breakfast sandwich would bring in more money by getting people to visit McDonald’s when they otherwise wouldn’t. Either that or they are likely to buy something to go with their free food.

There’s always next year.

As you know, we’re pretty good at what we do and for years we’ve been helping companies grow sales. Our typical client is an organization that has several salespeople and generates millions a year in revenue. Occasionally, we work with a startup or a small business, but economies of scale often prevent us from being a cost effective solution and smaller business owners continue to struggle. We’ve offered a two day Boot Camp over the past few years at a very attractive price. It did help with the economies of scale, but many business owners simply can’t afford to take two whole days out of their business even if it does make them more money later. We have been using webinar technology to help our multi-state and multi-national clients for years, and will use that same technology to offer a RainMaker Development Webinar Series that is specifically designed to help the owners of small businesses increase sales in their businesses.

You know us. We’ve done some things together. You know the work that we do. I’m hoping that you’ll help us as well as help some small business owners that you know. Simply forward this email to a few of your small business owner friends and suggest that they read the details of the new program. If you’d like to share your experience or thoughts with them, please do. As you can see, my contact info is included below. If you include their phone number, I’ll call them and answer their questions, ask if they’re interested in participating, share pricing and their discount information and register them if they wish.

Thank you, in advance for your help and I hope that your friends remember to thank you for helping them.

I wanted to share it for two reasons actually for one…I want you to know that there is help out there. I needed it. I found it and I would do it again every single time. It is hard to admit that you need help. How about, do you want things to be better? Then this is a great place to start. I am posting this on my blog because I have a select number of referral discounts available for those who would be seriously interested, e-mail me at evolutionofwealth@rocketmail.com

I got an invitation to a fundraiser. That’s not unusually, fundraisers happen all the time. Then I looked closer at the invite and it was someone I know. I don’t know him that well, you know brother of a friend I haven’t seen in a while type of thing. Well come to find out he’s got stage IV cancer. Now anyone who knows cancer knows that’s not good but he’s also got it in a place that isn’t usually curable plus stage IV indicates it’s spread. This is a young guy in his early to mid-thirties who just got the worst news imaginable. To make things worse he has been recently married. So this will affect a lot of people. The ripple effect is beginning.

Now I’m not writing this to depress you or to sadden you. I’m writing this to reach out to you. I think of the ripple effect this can have. It will affect this guy and his siblings, his parents, his aunt and uncles, grandparents, etc. Then he is married now it’s is wife and her parents and her cousins, etc. This will tear apart their world. I’m guessing or maybe I just want to believe over time they will heal. They might always have a scar but their wounds will heal. They will most likely go on to live happy and fulfilling lives if they haven’t already.

I will be attending the event and I started to think, I wonder the purpose of the event. Sometimes it’s to raise money for other people going through the same things, sometimes it to raise money for the family involved and other times it’s for research purpose to help prevent this happening to other people. All great purposes. The second one resonates with me the most though. I deal with peoples money. I deal with insurance. Something like this you can never be prepared for. It will never be easy. Can you make it less worse? Maybe one less thing to worry about? It is why I do what I do. I think if I could help one person, make a situation like this a tiny bit easier for one person. I might just make a small difference in this enormous world around us.

I have specifically left off the details because I didn’t ask if this person or their family wanted the attention. If you are interested in learning more or making a donation please e-mail me at evolutionofwealth@rocketmail.com. I will be happy to forward over the information to those who would like to help. Remember it is the smallest donations that add up to making the biggest difference.
