Thank you for the comment Daniel. My mention of passing was not that I wasn't going to help them but instead that I would introduce them to an associate that works more closely with families in hope that she might be able to be a better fit. I don't pretend to be an expert on everything. One of the leading qualifiers I use to determine who will be a prime client for me is us having congruent values.

To me it's not a question of helping or not. I will make sure to help, that's without question. I'm trying to figure out the best way to help. I will be in touch with both of them this week and keep everyone up to date. Thank you again Daniel.

They may have different values, but they did come to you as a professional for advice, and the best you can do is give your advice. Ultimately the final decision is up to them. They have different values from you (and me) but they still need help and I think you should provide it to them. Your business is to help people. If you passed, isn't that similar to a financial adviser who thinks you should invest your money a certain way and push for it even when you resist?

I say let them choose and help them in other ways, but I'm very curious to know what you ended up doing!
