Do you network? Maybe you aren’t the best people person. Or maybe you’ve had an experience where you went to a networking event and were the odd man/woman out. It might have been because you’re a bit shy or maybe it was a group of people that knew each other and talked amongst themselves.
A new way to network: BlitzTime.com. I signed up for the Big Boston Blitz last night and had 21 5:30 min conversations with different people. Now truth be told some of these people I might never talk to again but today I will follow up with them all. I spent 2 hours on the phone which was a long time. What would 2 hours be worth for your business? One, two, three clients or centers of influence?
So that is what I am doing this morning, following up with people I met last night. I need to see if anyone wants to be a client. If I met you last night and you are reading this, feel free to raise your hand.

I had an emailversation with Mike Sachleben yesterday during which we agreed that networking for the sake of networking is not working (a waste of time). You had a purpose. Have many quick conversations to decide who’s worth an longer conversation today. Good job!
